The ladies in my life ...

Things were busy this week but I don't have a lot of photos to share before Friday and an event at school called "Mommies and Muffins". Everyone's moms came in, and we did a little song (my performance was much like my holiday program performance ... very subtle and understated) then had a snack. I even got to leave early!

Yeah, Mommy! (I hope you liked your muffin.)

And the best part of the day was the arrival of Grandma Kathy! She came up for the weekend and even got some mail at our house from Uncle Eric.

Saturday was a really fun day. Mom had a lot of stuff going on and Dad was stranded at an unnamed airport in the southeastern part of the United States so Grandma and I worked outside and had a good time! Let's get these plants in the ground!

With the hole dug we can show this plant to its room. Good teamwork, Grandma Kathy!

I spent lots of time inspecting Grandma Kathy's van this weekend. She and Papa have a car seat now so I may start taking rides in this fun vehicle. "Buttons, buttons everywhere. Buttons near and far, Grandma Kathy can sit and watch as I touch everything in the car!"

Next up? Mother's Day brunch at Hyperion. A nice spread and lots of husbands and kids on their best behavior to try and give mom a break. Oh wait, they have chocolate milk?! Yeah!

After everyone finished we headed outside to get a nice Mother's Day photo. Dad was feeling the heat but I just couldn't find my motivation. (Hmmm ... I wonder if that "swim down" trick I saw on Nemo works for getting out of photos?)

It does!

Uh oh, they found me. I promise, just let me sit on the golf cart and I'll smile. (Maybe not at the camera, but you didn't include that in your original request, Dad.)

Okay, one last attempt. Nope! I'm commandeering this here golf cart and really can't be bothered now. If everyone could just leave me alone I'd like to get a few holes in before the course fills up.

After a wonderful meal and all that photography I was pooped. In fact, I fell asleep on the way home! Grandma Kathy left so Mom, Dad and I all rested. I woke up with a long list of things to do.

Tote that barge. Lift that bale. Water those plants.

Homeownership ... will the work ever end?!

With the yard work done Mom and I were able to relax a bit. I learned something about her today ... she can draw a darn good sidewalk chalk flower!

To sum up, I've got pretty great ladies in my life. I'm a lucky fellow.

I love you Mom, Grandma Kathy, Grandma Maggy and Great-Grandma Margaret! Happy Mother's Day!
