I was granted a slumber party ...

Hey, gang. I hope everyone stayed cool this week. My week was a great one with lots of fun things happening. The first highlight I want to cover is the new driveway across the street. Tuesday I woke up to a uniloader working and spent the morning watching and making sure everything was being done properly.

Mom had the good idea to take the guy some water so off we went. Turns out he was a really, really nice guy and then one of the other workers gave me a sticker for my uniloader and earplugs so it wasn't so loud when I watched the equipment. The guy also had some "inside information" that kept me excited all day.
That information? The cement truck was coming the next day! I got up early. I ate breakfast outside. I was late for school. It was so cool!
That night I got home and wanted to do some art. Mom showed me how and I practiced using scissors one-handed. (It was tough and took too long.)
Friday was a fun day at school ... it was my class's turn to go swimming and one of my friends brought cup cakes for his birthday. When I got home I helped fix some things around the house.
Saturday Mom went to the Farmer's Market with Grant's mom so Dad and I had "boys' morning". It was fun and we put on a heck of a tractor show. That afternoon Mom and I met the Fletchers at the biggest bouncy house place in the universe. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
Karlin needed help on some of the things because she's little. I tried to be a nice guy and offered a hand, but she ended up needing a bit more than I could give her so Grant stepped in.
Nolan and I had fun racing down one of the slides. He's fast!
When we left Grant didn't go with his family ... because he was going to spend the night at my house! Yeah!
We had pizza for dinner then played then watched a movie. Mom and Dad brought up my tent but we were too big to fit in it.
Instead, we put together our own "big top" thanks to some of Grant's vision and Mom and Dad's elbow grease.
It was a good night's sleep for everyone (except maybe Mom who had the couch).
This morning we hung out, played baseball, played soccer, played bocce, enjoyed Gogurt and took advantage of the cooler morning to be outside. I liked my first sleepover! Thanks, Mom!

Have a great week, everyone!
