This week Mom and I shipped Dad off for several days. Sunday morning we took him to the airport and had the house to ourselves!
Tuesday after school Mom and I decided to head to Grandma Maggy's. It was nice to get out of the house and to catch up. Mom and I really enjoyed our visit ...

... and, to top it off, I got to see some new things on Grandma's iPad. Neat!
Wednesday, Papa and Grandma Kathy came up for a visit. I hadn't seen them since Christmas so there was a lot to catch up on. Speaking of ketchup, I got to pick the restaurant where we went to lunch.

It was kind of funny. After lunch everyone tried everything to get me to take a nap but I won! No nap for me! Ha!

Later that afternoon I gathered everyone for family craft time. They seemed to enjoy it! Papa is good with the scissors. Who knew he could make such a cool rocket!

WOW! Papa and Grandma Kathy brought a model of the new combine they just got. I must say it was a show-stopper for me. I found myself just staring at it.

After a bit I finally convinced Papa that we should open the combine and "test it". (Actually, I think he was all for it. Mom and Grandma needed the convincing!)

Hey Papa ... it works great!

Wednesday night, before turning in Grandma Kathy helped me go through my cruise ship safety drill. (She was familiar as she was on a cruise a couple of weeks ago.)

After school Thursday, Mom and I went to the airport to get Dad. I helped with his luggage, we caught up, it was quite the scene. (I will admit that once I got in the terminal I quickly forgot about the big hug I was planning for Dad and fixated on the luggage conveyor but I think Dad realized I was happy to see him.)

Once we got home everyone realized that I had homework due Friday morning. Yikes! Quick, let's get gluing!

Thanks for the demonstration, Mom. Now I see where how that eye should be positioned.

Yeah! Homework is done!

Saturday, after Mom and I made Dad go out in the cold on a donut run, the Miller family hunkered down and worked on our 2012 majors pool. I stole Dad's thunder right away with a couple of my picks and I think Mom did really, really well too. It's going to be a tight race this year.

Speaking of donuts, I know some of you wonder how I can eat so many and keep my trim figure. Well, if you just eat the top half of the donut you get the good stuff without all of the calories. Simple!

Yesterday we also made a stop at Dad's office where I put up some art and helped him get organized for meetings this week.

I'll catch you next week, gang! Happy Valentine's Day!
