I'm three ...

Hello!

This past week I turned three. It's the oldest I've ever been and it was quite an interesting birthday. More about that in a bit.

Thursday night Grandma Maggy picked me up from school and I hung out at her house for awhile. She had lots of things to play with ...

... including a Bobcat skidsteer that she got from a friend. It's so cool! It's one of those special "Grandma's house only" toys so I need to get to her place more often.

That night was odd ... I woke up feeling weird and had a snack. After my snack I felt weirder and weirder until all of the sudden my snack reappeared! I had it on me, on Mom, on Dad and on the bed. Yuck! That got everyone's attention and the next few minutes were a bit of blur but I did learn a new word ... "puke". Huh. Nope. Don't like it.

Everyone was a bit wigged out when it happened again a couple of hours later so the decision was made that I would stay home from school. That stunk as that meant a postponed birthday party with my friends.

However, all was not lost. My favorite book right now is called Pinkalicious. We read it at school and I got it at the library once too. Mom decided to be extra cool and make pink cupcakes in honor of my birthday and because I thought they would be cool. I helped mix them up ...

... and decorate them, too.

When you decorate Pinkalicious cupcakes you have to really concentrate.

Several hours passed and things were fine. However, around 7 o'clock, after a bit of a relapse (meaning a belly full of chocolate milk heaved, urped, hurled, puked, or whatever you want to call it on the kitchen floor while Mom and Dad stared in disbelief) I was rushed through the shower.

I emerged a new man.

Since it was my birthday I did want to open gifts so picked out a few while the rest remained unopened for next week's party. Mom and Dad got me a Nerf basketball hoop. Awesome!

This present looks really cool. I'm glad the wrapping paper said birthday so I could open it now and not have to wait until Christmas. Thanks, Grandma Maggy.

A tractor shirt from Grandma Kathy and Papa. Cool!

Saturday I was feeling better so we were able to pull out the candles and my cupcakes and sing.

Sunday was the annual Santa Brunch at Hyperion. Grandma Maggy was nice enough to bring her new camera and I took a good look. I'm not sure it's one I can use but it was still neat to see it.

Napkin in lap? Check. Chocolate milk? Check. Plate of goodies? Check. Let's eat!

The main attraction! Santa was great but seemed really confused when I told him I wanted a manure spreader. He did mention that we needed more farmers so he was encouraging but I suspect I was the only kid who asked for animal waste disposal equipment today.

Ah, family. I think this is a nice picture of the group. Santa still hasn't fully gotten over the fact that I asked for manure spreader, but that's okay. He has some time.

It was a successful Santa brunch.

After a nice nap this afternoon Mom, Dad and I loaded up and headed through Jolly Holiday Lights. It was really cool and they had a tractor this year!

Hang on loyal readers ... this week is going to rock! My party at school, my holiday program, my birthday party. Wow!
