It's a lot of work to be a baby ...

I find that I need a good nap now and again ...

... because if I'm not having a picnic with my friend Grant and his mom Amanda ...
... I'm stylin in my turtle shoes (thanks Chris, Shelly and Paige!) ...
... or trying to eat rice cereal.
On top of that, it's exhausting to have to help Dad blow out his birthday candle (We would have burned the house down if Mom and I had put the right number on his oatmeal cream pie.).

So, you have to understand when, after long week, I just like to sit and read the paper.

After church today I got to go out for lunch with Grandma Maggy ...

... then she showed Dad and I my new ball!
I also got my picture taken with Mom and Dad ... so it was a busy Sunday.

Oh, and I rolled over so I've got that going for me ... which is nice.

Lots of time with Grandparents ...

Not only did Pierce enjoy an evening with Grandma Maggy while Mom & Dad went on "date night", he also got to visit Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Dave in Denmark this past week!

Here he is hanging with Grandma Maggy.

Lunch on Friday with friends Kristen and Lauren in Iowa City.

He got to see Grandpa Dave doing what he does best ...

... and tried to phone home but service was down.

Hanging with Alyssa was cool ...

... as was talking shop with the guys.

Grandma Kathy got in some good cuddle time, then it was back to Des Moines!

Easter and The Masters ... all in one weekend!

The neighborhood Easter egg hunt ...
... and my time was spent plotting a strategy for next year.
It's good to hang out with my friend bear which was a gift from my great grandparents.

The Easter basket from Mom and Dad was a hit. (I don't think I can have candy yet, so why is it in my basket. Mom?)

After church nap!

I can't believe Kenny Perry missed that putt. Dad and I like watching golf in vests.

After golf it was time to color Easter eggs.

Then I went to Grandma's and got a super cool Easter bunny!

And finally, just so everyone knows, I say some pretty important things inbetween my hiccups.

Yep, thanks for asking ... it IS rice cereal!

Here is the weekly recap.

Here Pierce models his new jammies from Grandma Kathy.

On Wednesday we helped Justin with Daddy Bootcamp.

Steve stopped by Friday evening.

Saturday Paige came over to play.

Grandma Maggy came over Sunday.

She dropped off a gift from Dad's Uncle Ken and Aunt Penny in Austin. (Hook Em Horns!)
We also celebrated Grandma's birthday.
In the afternoon Pierce played in his favorite toy from Grandma and Grandpa Houston.
It was a big day as we tried rice cereal for the first time.

As you can see above, Pierce had some doubts. But look below and you'll see that he went for it.
Hmmm ... tastes like chicken.

Have a great week!

The last full week of March ...

It is hard to believe that April will soon be here, Pierce will be 4 months old and warmer weather may finally arrive. We started a new daycare this week and are very happy. (Photos to come.)

So ...

Jon's cousin Ellen stopped by this week.

Pierce hung out with his good friend Grant Fletcher ...

... tried rolling ...

... had good time with Mommy ...

... taught Daddy his hand eating trick ...

... ventured out to run errands ...

... did a very big boy thing and bought rice cereal ...

... and played a lot.

Amanda and Grant came over for dinner Saturday and we all had fun.

Until next time ...

A child of God ...

It was Pierce's baptism today. All went very well. Here are some photos from today and earlier this week as well. (We'll have more photos to add later on which will include more family shots.)

March 17 family self portrait.

The Miller men discussing the manly art of grilling.
Pierce's first glimpse of the "Mother Of All Toys" from Grandma and Grandpa Houston ...

A test drive ...

A test drive video ...

The baptism with Pastor Ken, who married us in 2004.

We made the bulletin!

Photos afterwards ... Pierce is the first in 7 generations on Amy's side not to be baptised in the home church in Denmark, IA. Pierce is wearing the baptismal gown that Great Grandma Hazel, Grandma Maggy and Dad wore when they were baptised.

Our good friend Annette joined us ...

As did Amanda and Grant ...

Afterwards we went to Hyperion for brunch...
