Power

This week was all about power. The power to explore. The power to experience. The power to grind Mom and Dad down and bend them to my will.

So, let's get started. Mom was great and took me to the big equipment show downtown Thursday. Not only did I get to ride a shuttle bus (something I fell in love with in Florida last year) ...
... I got to drive a big, powerful tractor ...

... a big, powerful combine ...

... and pretend to drive a big, powerful sprayer. However, as every safe farmer knows sprayers have chemicals and those aren't safe for a young farmer like me to be around so I didn't put the sprayer through the paces like the tractor and combine.

The day was capped off with another shuttle bus ride. Awesome!

Today I said goodbye to my amaryllis plant. Dad kept singing some old song about turning that I didn't get but he seemed to think the moment when flower farmer Pierce said goodbye to his crop was meaningful. I didn't have the heart to tell him that it was fun just to throw something away.

After it was in the trash both Dad and I decided that we just had to stand around for awhile and get our wits about us.

Mom suggested I help make cookies and I jumped at the chance! Add butter ...

... then, when she's not looking crank the mixer to its fastest setting! Ha! What a rush. Mom said a couple of things I didn't catch ...
... then just grabbed my by the head and gave me a kiss. (Sometimes she does that when she doesn't know what else to do.)

My friend Anna came over for a bit this afternoon and after we walked her home I helped Dad shovel.
I also helped Mom with her snowman.
I think she did pretty well, thanks to me! This is one powerful snowman!
Good job, mama llama!

Later!
