This past week was a busy one (they all seem to be).

Jon's Aunt Pat and Uncle Ron came by for a visit ...

... yep, it was a good week.

Jon and Amy went to church, Chris hung with Pierce and Grandma Maggy stopped by for a visit.

The Many Faces of Pierce

Below is a selection of the many faces we see of Pierce.

Finding his thumb again ....

Keep in mind it was the coldest day of the year, but Pierce INSISTED on not wearing socks! We put them on and he took them off about 10 times until we finally compromised - he could go with no socks if his feet stayed wrapped in a blanket.

He smiles a lot now, but the camera doesn't always cooperate in capturing the moment so this is a rare one ...

A man of the people.

The past few days have seen lots of visitors including Uncle Chris, Grandma Kathy, Kendall, Amanda and Grant. Today Grandma Maggy stopped by and we also took the longest road trip of Pierce's young life while heading down to Chariton to meet his Great Grandparents. Four Weeks & Counting

We've been discussing - when does Pierce turn 1 month ... is it at four weeks or on January 9? We decided it's probably on January 9 - especially since Pierce was a bit grumpy on his four week date. The attached video is from that night and is for all of you who have been curious to know what he sounds like when he cries!

Yesterday Jon left for a conference in Chicago. That meant Uncle Chris was here for part of the day to spend some quality time watching Pierce, and then Grandma Kathy came up to spend a couple of days with us.

Pierce is changing everyday. He has started focusing more - even on some toys, and has been doing a little baby babble. Today we had our first lunch outing (see photo below) which he must have loved as he sat quietly the entire time!
